Saturday, January 14   Basic Drawing One-Day Workshop

PCC/Sylvania campus (Pine Room) 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

If you can print your ABCs, you can learn to draw! Learn the basics to drawing and design with practical examples and constructive exercises. Covers basic shapes to perspective. Bring spiral sketchbook, all other supplies included. $15 materials fee.

 

Saturday, January 28  Drawing with Pen and Ink One-Day Workshop

PCC/Sylvania campus  (Pine Room) 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Draw with pen and ink, using watercolor washes, while exploring a variety of pens, methods and techniques. Great for journals, travelling and illustrating. Bring spiral sketchbook, all other supplies included. $15 materials fee.

 

Friday, February 10  Visual Journaling using Collage & Mixed Media One-Day Workshop, Tigard Senior Center  10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Journaling is a great way to relieve stress and  express yourself. Discover your inner artist through various art materials & found pieces. Bring 90# (or heavier) spiral sketchbook . All other supplies and lunch provided (pizza and coke). $20.00 material fees.

 

Saturday, February 11  Colored Pencil One-Day Workshop

PCC/Sylvania campus (Pine Room) 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Learn how to use colored pencil by building up layers until you reach a brilliant, colorful surface. Learn how to use a variety of strokes and blending techniques on a variety of grounds. All supplies provided.  $15 materials fee.

 

Friday, February 24   Creating a Nature Sketchbook One-Day Workshop

Tigard Senior Center 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Spend a day learning how to sketch the natural world around us, using pencil, pen and watercolor. We'll explore plants, birds, small animals and landscapes. Bring spiral sketchbook. All other supplies and lunch provided (pizza and coke). $20 materials fee.
 

Saturday, February 25 How to Draw Flowers One-Day Workshop

PCC/Sylvania campus  (Pine Room)10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Here's your chance to learn how to draw simple flowers to complex, using pencil, pen, colored pencil and watercolor wash.  Bring spiral sketchbook, all other materials supplied. $15 material fee.

 

Friday, March 9  How to Draw Birds One-Day Workshop
Tigard Senior Center 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

An introduction course to sketching birds from skeleton to feather, using pencil, ink, colored pencil and watercolor. Bring spiral sketchbook, all other supplies . $15 material fee.

 

Saturday, March 10  Travel Sketching Workshop

PCC/Sylvania campus  (Room SS211) 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Journey with your sketchbook. Capture street scenes, markets, people and landscapes. Use pencil, watercolor pencil, watercolor washes or pen and ink. Bring spiral sketchbook, all other supplies provided. $15 materials fee.

Along with being able to sketch and photograph so many neat places, you only unpack once and get treated like royalty for an entire week.
